August saw a number of high-profile appointments and departures across the financial services sector, with noteworthy additions to CBA, MetLife, and the Bank of Queensland.

Commonwealth Bank of Australia (CBA) has appointed Carmel Mulhern to the position of Group Executive Group General Counsel and Governance; CBA has also appointed Scott Wharton to the position of Group Executive, Program Delivery.

MetLife has appointed Lina Saliba to the position of Head of Customer Experience.

IAG has appointed Peter Horton to the position of Group General Counsel. IAG has also appointed Christine Stasi to the position of Group Executive People, Performance and Reputation.

MLC Life Insurance has appointed Sean Williamson to the position of Executive Lead, New Business for Group Insurance.

Zurich has appointed Justin Delaney to the position of Chief Executive Officer, Life and Investments.

UBS has appointed Anthony Sweetman and Nick Hughes as Co-country Heads of UBS Australasia following the retirement of Matthew Grounds.

Equipsuper has appointed Scott Cameron to the position of Chief Executive, following the superannuation provider’s merger with Catholic Super. Equip has also appointed Anna Shelley to the position of Chief Investment Officer across both brands.

Cbus Super has appointed Nicholas Vamvakas to the position of Group Executive for Strategy and Growth. Cbus has also appointed Wade Martin to the position of Chief Risk Officer.

Spaceship has announced Acting Chief Executive Officer Andrew Moore has been appointed as the super fund’s permanent Chief Executive.

AMP has announced the departure of Chief Financial Officer designate John Patrick (JP) Moorhead. AMP has appointed James Georgeson as Acting Chief Financial Officer following Moorhead’s resignation.

Australian Military Bank has announced the departure of Chief Executive John Ford.
